Signal Arts Centre is delighted to be exhibiting works by renowned artist Olivia Bartlett.

Olivia Bartlett began her career as a senior ballet mistress with the Arts Educational Trust in London, where she prepared young professionals for their stage roles. She is fascinated by the way; the human body conveys experience and emotion, as well as how choice of colour, brushstrokes and tonal values combine beautifully to set a particular mood.

Olivia was the winner of the best in show of the first ever Signal Open in 2013 with a self Portrait “Old Woman with two Pearl Earrings”.

Since then she has received two commissions from Christ Church Cathedral Dublin to paint two portraits for the Chapter House- Dean Tom Salmon, unveiled at Candlemas 2014 and Dean Des Harman – Portrait unveiled at the Patronal Festival in June 2014.

Her portrait of Professor Robert Blackith hangs in the Zoological Department of Trinity College Dublin.

In this much-awaited exhibition at the Signal Arts Gallery, she will include a selection of portraits, Figurative and landscapes.
