Signal Arts Centre is pleased to present Impressions, an exhibition of new work from the artist Rory O'Connell.

Rory is currently studying Digital Photography at Roslyn Park College in Sandymount. He has previously attended Photography courses at Griffith College Dublin and IADT Dun Laoghaire.

Impressions is Rory's first exhibition. The show consists of historic images from around Ireland that have made an impression on Rory and inspired him to create visual representations of these sites.

There are two different collections of images within the show. The larger part, which contains 20 images, concerns itself with heritage sites within the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown area.

The second part of the exhibition is a collection of images Rory took in 2004. During May of that year Rory embarked on a six-day bus tour of Ireland. On his journey he saw many sites that moved and inspired him. This part of the exhibition is displayed on four canvas prints and two montage prints.

The idea behind Rory's exhibition is to share his visual experiences with as many people as possible.

Opening Reception: Thursday 19th July 7-9pm
