Doru Ivan | A Present Absence

Doru Ivan’s exhibition, “A Present Absence”, is more than an exhibition; it is an invitation to explore the unseen and the ephemeral. Through a carefully curated selection of oil paintings, the exhibition challenges viewers to find meaning in what is missing and to appreciate the delicate balance between presence and absence in art and life. This exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the ephemeral, the intangible, and the often-overlooked aspects of existence through a series of evocative oil paintings.

Born in 1969, in Arad, Romania. Honours Bachelor of Arts, National University of Arts Bucharest, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Art Department. He lives and works in Dublin, Ireland and he is member of VAI since 2018.

His art is a journey into the heart of human existence. Each piece is an exploration of the silent conversations and unseen dynamics that govern our daily lives. Through his work, he aims to highlight the beauty and complexity of these interactions and encourage viewers to reflect on their own experiences.
