From Tuesday 5th July to Sunday 17th July 1993

The ever changing play of light on the landscapes of County Wicklow, rightly called the 'Garden County' has inspires countless painters throughout the ages. But Ireland, both north and south, presents such a diversity of subject-matter, that it is difficult for the painter to confine himself to a single county.

The new exhibition celebrates the myriad faces of the 32 Counties: from the castles of Antrim and Galway, to the mountains, valleys and woodlands of Wexford and Mayo. All painted with love of natural beauty.

The range of landscapes extends too to Denmark, where the artist lived for some time. 'Faces' in the title of the show refers to the portraits - several examples in charcoal are shown here - that represent another aspect of John Dunne's talent.
