{"id":9868,"date":"2022-09-26T11:53:01","date_gmt":"2022-09-26T11:53:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/signalartscentre.ie\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=9868"},"modified":"2022-10-04T14:05:48","modified_gmt":"2022-10-04T14:05:48","slug":"show-and-tell-meet-the-artists-denise-french-and-yvonne-pettitt","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/signalartscentre.ie\/exhibitions\/show-and-tell-meet-the-artists-denise-french-and-yvonne-pettitt\/","title":{"rendered":"Show and Tell | Meet the artists Denise French and Yvonne Pettitt **POSTPONED**"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Tuesday October 4th 2022, 7-9 pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Free event<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Denise French<\/strong><br \/>\nDenise French is a Visual Artist, surrounded by creativity as a child she surrounded her<br \/>\nown children with creativity and when they all went to school she went to Art College at<br \/>\nIADT Dun Laoghaire.\u00a0She has been involved in setting up Artists Studios as well as an<br \/>\nArt market in Dalkey and now works from her light filled studio in Dalkey.\u00a0Denise has a<br \/>\nunique style and creates paintings and drawings that she hopes will evoke joy and<br \/>\nhappiness her viewers. From her exuberant sea scapes to cheerful colourful meadows to<br \/>\nrelaxing drawings of her favourite spots to go swimming each one is an individual special<br \/>\ncreation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yvonne Pettitt<\/strong><br \/>\nYvonne\u2019s work arises out of curiosity about the world and of painting. With a background teaching<br \/>\nArt History, she had a yen to practice. Passion and Skills allow experimenting. Wanting to be perfect<br \/>\nis a struggle in creativity but she loves the irony that immersing in process is the only way to find an authentic voice and do your best work. There really is no such thing as perfection, Socrates was<br \/>\nright. She likes to paint traditional still -lifes which are full of symbolism and landscapes that still yet exist.
