Emanuela Carvisiglia | Water, Light and Reflection
“Water, Light and Reflection” is a captivating ensemble of oils with the interaction between water and light as a common theme. Artist Emanuela Carvisiglia’s goal is to paint colourful and very detailed pieces to bring the viewer into a dimension where the warmth of the sun is amplified by the freshness of the water and to do so she uses intense colours and a high level of detail.
Emanuela says, “I hope the viewers eyes will be enthralled by the colours and their souls will be nurtured by the same feeling of peace and relaxation I have while creating them. I try to create a synergy between the full picture and the small details I am so obsessed with.”
Emanuela was born and raised in Italy and now lives in Wicklow where she is inspired by the sea and the way light plays with the water surface. She aims to produce captivating pieces of work where colours and shapes are reinterpreted by reflections and light refraction.
She has a degree in painting and visual arts from the Fine Art Academy in Naples where she had the chance to learn from renowned contemporary Italian artists.
