Mary St Leger | I Will Love Them Dearly

“I WILL LOVE THEM DEARLY” is a new body of work from Mary St Leger. Combining paintings and ephemera it is a personal exploration into the excentric and often isolating world of St Leger’s childhood. Her obsession with the theatrical and dramatic play out in a continuous loop in these recent pieces. The use of imagined backgrounds and repetitive pattern act as backdrops for a story that each painting tells.

A graduate in painting from Limerick School of Art and Design St Leger holds an M.A in Fine Art form the University of Central England and an M.A in Women’s Studies from the University of Limerick. St Leger has exhibited extensively including the Chianciano Biennale and The London Biennale
