This exhibition of pictures, drawn in a variety of medium, is called ‘The Choice’. This choice is about the experience and visualization of reality; about how we prioritise the significance of fact or fantasy in how we interpret the processes and possibilities of the world around us…
THE CHOICE
If one must choose In sleep, we meet ourselves
Between dream world and day world Not as we are.
Between the factual that dissolves in thought But as we might have been
Or fantasies that harden into shapes If those we chose as parents were more wise,
More bright than bronze, And those who taught us spoke like Socrates.
I will accept the latter and deny Here we are free
All that projects upon the eye To take that other path and still achieve
Inconsequential forms The multicoloured garments of desire.
In some of these pictures the materiality of feathers is contrasted with the fantasy of flight. In others stones have faces… What would you choose?

Art and Movement Exploration Opportunity
Art is a medium that offers us the possibility of opening our perception and expanding our experience.
Each of the disciplines in the creative arts can enhance this process. Note the poem that accompanies
this exhibition. We will explore how connecting with the senses through movement can expand and
enrich your experience of the drawings in the exhibition.
A relaxed playful approach will be taken to this brief imaginative movement exploration.
This adventure will last 15 minutes approx. This will be followed by an opportunity for discussion. All
you need bring is your body and an open mind.
1st session: 2:15pm 2nd session 3: 30 pm
